Yuriy Andreyev founded The Phone Shelf and publishes it. He is responsible for what the site publishes: which phones and questions it covers, the research method described on How we research, and corrections when something on a page turns out to be wrong.

Every page follows the same rules:

• specifications match the manufacturer's own page;
• update promises match the maker's published policy, and where a maker publishes none, the page says so;
• prices are the launch price with its month, plus the maker's regular US price on the date it was checked;
• no page describes using a phone we haven't used.
